Also, what does it mean to take a stand and not give up? I know I’m afraid of taking a stand with respect to other people, refusing to give up on them, and being really obnoxious in the process. How do you distinguish taking a stand from “trying to get somewhere” and trying to elicit a certain response? Thanks!
